Gathering Summer Fruits ... A summer fruits project keeping christian principals in mind.

The huge variety of fruit and vegetables was discussed with students. At one local fruit shop they counted no less then 107 different varieties. It was a big job counting the varieties but it was confirmed by the shop keeper the children counted correctly. 

A list was made of the different fruits they could think of and more varieties from foreign countries were added to the list. It never seemed to stop growing. 

Students were asked to find Bible verses which contained the words Summer Fruits. These are listed below.

Next they were asked to paint a picture titled: Gathering Summer Fruits

2 Samuel 16:1 And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves of bread, and an hundred bunches of raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.
