The Mission of Teaching Treasures
This part of Teaching Treasures was included in the hope to support and encourage educators in their
mission to provide knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential to help their students understand,
respect and care for the environment.
As a fundamental way to achieve this mission, we encourage direct experiences of
the great outdoors and have suggested some of the following activities.
Ballooning, Canoeing, Canyoning, Caving, Climbing, Cycling, SCUBA Diving, Snorkeling, Hiking, Bush walking,
Horse Riding, Kayaking, Rafting, Rogaining, Sailing, Sea kayaking, Skydiving, Snow sports, Surfing,
Outdoor art, Bush craft, Environmental activities.
We now support an outdoor activities provider in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales,
Griggs Outdoor Adventure Learning.
If you live in south east Queensland or northern New South Wales you may like to make the trip to Nymboida. Your students are bound to have a great experience with this provider.
