Kookaburras are a member of the ........ family living in Australia. They are also known as the laughing jackass. There are two species of kookaburras; the laughing kookaburra and the blue winged kookaburra. They are stocky birds and grow to 17 inches long with large heads and beaks.

The laughing kookaburra's plumage is mainly white with black and brown on its wings and tail. Their call-sounds are like demented laughter ........ their territory. They eat ....... They nest in holes of trees or termite mounds and their eggs are white.
