The Moorish idol is a tropical marine spiny-finned fish. They are common around reef areas like the Great Barrier Reef and the reefs around Western Australia.
These yellow, black striped fish have a compressed body with a long beak-like snout and an elongated dorsal fin.
The scientific name is; 'Zanclus canescens'.
The family scientific name is; Zanclidae.
