The symbol In. stands for Indium which is a soft, silvery metallic element. It is a rare element with its melting point at 156.61 degrees C. and it boils at 2000 degrees C. Indium occurs mainly in zinc materials. It is used to make solders, alloys for use in bearings, transistors and other electronic components and mirrors.
