Namibia straddles the Tropic
of Capricorn and is bordered by Angola, Botswana, South Africa and the
Atlantic Ocean. A narrow strip in the north-eastern corner stretches between
Angola and Botswana and touches Zambia.
The Namib Desert and the
Kalahari Desert are barren and inhospitable, yet these have their own beauty.
Some rivers to explore are the Okovango, Kunene, and Zambezi on the northern
border and the Orange on Namibia's southern border.
