Thailand is a very popular tourist stop in Asia, and was formerly known as Siam. It is bordered by Myanmar (Burma), Laos, Cambodia (Kampuchea), Malaysia, the Gulf of Thailand, and the Andaman Sea. The Kingdom of Thailand covers an area of approximately 513,998 square kilometres (198,456 square miles). Their major language is Thai.

Thailand's highest peak is Doi Inthanon and well worth visiting. River lovers can visit Chao Phraya, Chi, Mekong, Mun, or Ping rivers. City life is best explored in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chiang Mai, or Khon Kaen. Their currency is 1 Thai baht = 100 stangs.
