The Ruins of Jerash,
and the Nabataean tombs at Petra in Jordan are part of this country's rich
culture and history. Beautiful Jordan is bordered by Syria, Iraq, Saudi
Arabia, and Israel. It is regarded by many Christians, Jews, and Muslims
as the Holy Land. The Gulf of Aqaba contains Aqaba itself, Jordan's only
port. Other cities of interest are Amman, Az-Zarqa', Irbid, As-Salt,
Ar-Rusayfah, and Al-Mafraq.
