The United Arab
Emirates consists of seven Arab kingdoms on the eastern coast of the
Arabian Peninsula, these kingdoms are Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman,
Umm al Qaiwain, Ras al Khaimah, and Fujairah emirates. It is bordered by
Qatar, the Persian Gulf, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. The hot, dry climate is
something the people have to contend with on a daily basis. Arabic is the
official language, but Hindi, Urdu, and Persian are also widely spoken.
