Canada

31,720,400 population - Capital City: Ottawa

Canada is a vast and appealing land of contrasting landscapes. Popular with tourists worldwide as a dream destination. The Canadian Shield, a rock formation, curve from the Amundsen Gulf southward and eastward across the top of the Prairie Provinces, around Hudson Bay to the Atlantic Ocean and encompasses most of Ontario and Quebec and all of Labrador.

The beautiful Innuitian Mountains, named after the northern indigenous people, are largely unexplored due to the harsh climate. Other superb natural regions waiting to be explored are the Appalachian Region, Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Lowlands, Interior Plains, and the Cordilleran Region. Prominent mountain peaks are Mount Logan, Mount Fairweather, and Mount Columbia. Of course one must not forget Canada's most beautiful lakes, Great Lakes (partly in Canada), Great Bear Lake, Great Slave Lake, and Lake Winnipeg. Delightful Baffin island is Canada's major island.
