Learning grammar is important if you want to be able to write and speak properly later on in life. English grammar can be tricky if you come from a different country and you have to learn the English language first. Grammar is even difficult for people who are born in English speaking countries. Unless you are really keen on learning proper grammar, it can be a drudge because like everything in life, if you don't enjoy doing what you are doing, it will be tedious.
