Vinblastine is a cytotoxic drug used in the treatment of lymphomas. It is derived as an alkaloid from the tropical shrub Madagascar periwinkle.
The first isolation of vinblastine was achieved at the University of Western Ontario by Robert Noble and Charles Thomas Beer.
